COSO는 동시대 미술의 다양한 흐름 속에서 독자적인 시각과 작업 언어를 구축해가는 작가를 발굴하고 소개하는 갤러리입니다.

2017년 서울 삼청동에서 개관하여 2022년 을지로로 이전한 이후, 회화, 사진, 설치, 퍼포먼스 등 매체와 형식에 제한을 두지 않고 국내외 작가들의 작업을 소개해왔습니다.

COSO는 작가의 현재뿐 아니라 작업이 지속적으로 형성되고 확장되는 과정에 주목합니다. 개인전과 기획전, 오픈콜 등을 통해 새로운 작가와 작업을 발굴하고 전시 기획과 제작, 홍보 및 아카이빙에 이르는 과정을 통해 작가의 작업 세계를 구체적으로 전달하고자 합니다. 또한 국내외 작가와의 교류, 교육 및 문화 프로그램, 지역의 예술 공간을 연결하는 프로젝트를 통해 갤러리의 역할을 전시장 밖으로 확장하고 있습니다.

COSO는 독자적인 작업 세계를 구축해가는 작가들을 지속적으로 소개하고, 작가와 관객, 지역과 서로 다른 예술적 장면이 만나는 접점을 만들어가는 동시대 미술 플랫폼을 지향합니다.

COSO is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to discovering and presenting artists who are developing distinctive perspectives and artistic languages within the evolving landscape of contemporary art.

Founded in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, in 2017, COSO relocated to Euljiro in 2022. Since then, the gallery has presented works by Korean and international artists across a wide range of media and practices, including painting, photography, installation, and performance. COSO focuses not only on an artist’s current practice, but also on the ongoing process through which their work develops and expands. Through solo and curated exhibitions, as well as its open call program, the gallery discovers emerging artists and new practices while supporting the entire exhibition process—from planning and production to promotion and archiving—to communicate each artist’s practice with clarity and depth.

Beyond exhibitions, COSO extends its activities through exchanges with artists in Korea and abroad, educational and cultural programs, and projects that connect art spaces within the local community.

COSOは、現代美術の多様な潮流の中で、独自の視点と表現言語を築いていくアーティストを発掘し、紹介するギャラリーです。

2017年にソウル・三清洞（サムチョンドン）で開廊し、2022年に乙支路（ウルチロ）へ移転しました。以来、絵画、写真、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスなど、メディアや表現形式にとらわれることなく、韓国国内外のアーティストによる多様な作品を紹介してきました。

COSOは、アーティストの現在の活動だけでなく、その作品が継続的に形成され、展開していくプロセスにも注目しています。個展や企画展、オープンコールなどを通じて、新たなアーティストや表現を発掘するとともに、展覧会の企画・制作から広報、アーカイブに至るまで、展覧会を形づくる一連のプロセスを通して、それぞれのアーティストの作品世界をより明確に伝えることを目指しています。

また、国内外のアーティストとの交流、教育・文化プログラム、地域のアートスペースをつなぐプロジェクトなどを通して、ギャラリーとしての活動を展示空間の外へと広げています。
